Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Recreation Activities Coordinator to develop and manage a diverse program of activities for residents and visitors in Mahikeng, enhancing quality of life and community engagement through leisure and recreation.

You will plan, organize, and execute events from sports and fitness to cultural gatherings, coordinating venues, resources, and vendors while gathering feedback to continually improve offerings in a welcoming, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning, program coordination, or recreation management.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Creativity and the ability to think outside the box for activity planning.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute a varied schedule of recreational activities, events, and programs.
• Develop new and engaging activity ideas to cater to diverse interests and age groups.
• Manage activity logistics, including venue booking, resource allocation, and vendor coordination.
• Promote activities through various channels to ensure high participation rates.
• Oversee the setup and cleanup of activity venues, ensuring they are safe and welcoming.
• Gather feedback from participants to continuously improve program offerings.
