Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Community Sports Development Officer in Mahikeng to promote sports participation across age groups and abilities. You will build partnerships with schools, clubs, and organizations while developing grassroots programs and strategic plans.

You will balance community outreach with administrative duties and contribute to creating long-term, healthier communities through sport and activity.

Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in Sports Management, Community Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community sports development or youth work.
• Strong understanding of sport delivery models and barriers to participation.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Identify community needs and develop strategic plans to increase participation.
• Organize and deliver sports programs for youth, adults, and seniors.
