Job summary

Placements24 is assisting Mossel Bay with a vibrant Recreational Activity Coordinator to design and implement engaging programs for residents and visitors. You will develop diverse activities from sports leagues to arts and crafts, fostering community engagement and well-being.

This role requires excellent organization, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage budgets, recruit volunteers, and ensure safety guidelines are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating recreational programs, community events, or leisure activities.
• Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse groups.
• Creativity and passion for developing engaging, inclusive activities.
• A relevant qualification in Recreation Management or Leisure Studies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute a variety of recreational activities and events for the Mossel Bay community.
• Develop program schedules, promotional materials, and participant registrations.
• Manage activity budgets, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
• Recruit, train, and supervise activity instructors and volunteers.
• Ensure safety and well-being by following safety guidelines and protocols.
• Evaluate program success and gather feedback for improvement.
