Placements24 is seeking a creative Recreation Programmer to develop and deliver engaging community activities in Mossel Bay. You will design diverse programs for all ages, promoting participation and ensuring safety and quality of life in coastal settings.

The role involves planning and delivering sports, arts, and fitness activities, managing a team of instructors, and collaborating with local partners to grow community engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in recreation program planning and delivery.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Creativity to develop innovative recreational activities.
• Experience in marketing and promoting programs to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• A background in Recreation Management or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute a wide variety of recreational programs and events.
• Market and promote programs through digital platforms, flyers, and outreach.
• Recruit, train, and supervise part-time staff, volunteers, and instructors.
• Develop and manage program budgets for cost-effectiveness.
• Assess program success through feedback and data analysis.
• Ensure all activities are conducted safely following policies.
