Job summary

Accountancy Placements Pietermaritzburg is seeking a shift leader to manage the in-house guest experience at a luxury property in Durban. You will supervise Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping and Spa, ensuring seamless service and presentation.

You will anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns, mentor staff and coordinate across departments. Opera Cloud and Micros familiarity is advantageous, with a focus on health, safety and process compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a guest-facing hospitality role.
• Luxury or boutique hotel experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Calm under pressure with good decision-making.
• Knowledge of Opera Cloud and Micros advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping and Spa operations during the shift.
• Anticipate guest needs, manage special requests and resolve concerns effectively.
• Lead by example, support and guide team members, and ensure interdepartmental communication.
• Assist with Opera Cloud and Micros where required and support reporting and guest records.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and company procedures.
