Job summary

Placements24 in Durban is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality control efforts at its manufacturing facility. You will develop, implement, and maintain the QMS to ensure products meet stringent standards, oversee inspections, audits, CAPA, and drive continuous improvement across all production lines.

We seek a hands-on leader with 6+ years in manufacturing QA, a degree in engineering or science, and strong SPC, root cause analysis, and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical field.
• 6+ years in quality assurance/quality control in manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO 9001 QMS development and management.
• Strong SPC, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Auditing experience and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with quality management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the QMS in compliance with industry standards.
• Oversee quality control across raw materials, in-process, and final testing.
• Lead internal and external audits and regulatory compliance.
• Investigate complaints and non-conformances; implement CAPA.
• Develop and conduct QA training for production staff.
• Monitor KPIs and generate reports for management.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and engineering to integrate quality.
• Manage calibration and maintenance of QC equipment.
• Drive culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
