Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Manager for our Durban client, a leading manufacturer of specialized packaging materials. You will lead the quality management system, oversee QC activities, and drive a culture of quality across the organization.

The role requires 7+ years in QA/QC, with at least 3 years in leadership, strong knowledge of ISO 9001, SPC and CAPA, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in Quality Assurance or Quality Control with 3+ years in management.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, SPC and quality tools like CAPA.
• ISO 9001 certification and auditing experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO 9001.
• Oversee QA/QC activities, inspection, testing and process monitoring.
• Lead and mentor QA team, drive continuous improvement.
• Investigate complaints and non-conformances with root-cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for packaging materials.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits; report to senior management.
