Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality systems within our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Durban. This senior role leads a team of QA professionals, drives continuous improvement, and ensures regulatory compliance and patient safety.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology or a related field, with at least 7 years in QA in pharma and 3+ in management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Quality Assurance within the pharma industry
• At least 3 years in a management role
• Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements (SAHPRA, FDA, EMA)
• Experience managing audits, inspections and CAPA programs
• Excellent leadership, analysis and detail orientation

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain QMS in line with GMP and regulations
• Lead and develop the QA team, provide training and performance reviews
• Oversee quality control activities including batch release review and CAPA
• Conduct internal/external audits and host regulatory inspections
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues and drive improvements
