Job summary

Durban, KwaZulu-Natal-based diversified industrial conglomerate seeks an experienced Internal Audit Manager to lead risk assessment, governance, and internal controls across business units. Based in Durban with a hybrid work model, the role focuses on planning, executing, and reporting audits to safeguard assets and ensure policy compliance.

You will manage a team of auditors, develop annual audit plans, and drive continuous improvement through stakeholder collaboration and adherence to IIA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or related field.
• CIA/CA(SA)/CISA or equivalent certification required.
• Minimum 7 years in internal auditing, with 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience with ERP systems and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment.
• Lead and manage the internal audit team, providing guidance and performance reviews.
• Conduct audits of financial, operational and compliance processes and evaluate internal controls.
• Identify risks and control weaknesses and recommend practical solutions.
• Prepare clear audit reports for senior management and Audit Committee.
• Follow up on management action plans to address findings.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Build relationships across the organization to facilitate the audit process.
