Job summary

Premier FMCG invites applications for a Shunter driver to support our bakery logistics in KwaZulu-Natal. You will shunt trucks, perform housekeeping, and ensure timely reporting of incidents, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and valid Code 14 driver's license with PDP.
• 3-4 years' experience in a similar FMCG shunter/transport role.
• Must be able to work Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Shunt trucks and move pre-loaded vehicles.
• Perform truck housekeeping and ensure cleanliness.
• Report incidents timely and accurately.
• Deliver bread between Inter Company/ depots.
• Park vendor trucks in assigned bays.
• Refuel vehicles as needed.
• Move trucks to wash bay and ensure pipeline loading compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Truck housekeeping- ensuring trucks are neat and clean always.
• Incident and accident reporting – ensuring all incidents and accidents are management timeously
• Pick up or deliver bread from Inter Company/ depots
• Move all trucks to wash bay
• Ensure diesel is filled in all vehicles
• Park Vendor trucks in parking bay
• Ensure that trucks are parked in correct places as per pipeline loading
• Must be able to shunter the links / truck and trailer
• Move pre-loaded trucks

Experience and Qualifications

• Grade 12
• 3-4 Years’ experience in a similar environment and role
• Must have a valid Code 14 driver’s license and PDP
