Job summary

Premier FMCG (Pty) Ltd in Kokstad is seeking a Salesman Driver to ensure on-time deliveries of bakery products, collect payments, and manage bakery sales assets on a daily route.

The role requires a Grade 12 or equivalent, 2–3 years in a similar role, and a valid Code 10 license with PrDP. The position is a 6-day workweek with weekend shifts and on-route customer visits.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Minimum of 24 months driving experience.
• 2-3 years in a similar role.
• Must have valid Code 10 driver’s license and PrDP.

Responsibilities

• Drive bakery products to customers on the route on time and in full.
• Handle cash and banking where required.
• Visit customers on route daily to generate sales and maintain relationships.
• Balance trays and ensure accurate stock at sites.
• Reconcile route activities and return all PODs after deliveries.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Salesman Driver role is to ensure service delivery and bakery sales growth through on time and in full deliveries of products as per customer requirements, collection of payments and bakery sales asset management on daily basis

Key Responsibilities

• Truck stock and cash
• Visiting of customers daily on route
• Finding new business on route to customers
• Balancing of trays on a daily basis
• Reconciling at site after route
• Banking of cash
• Returning all POD’s

Experience and Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• A minimum of 24 months driving experience
• 2-3 years in a similar role
• Must have valid Code 10 driver’s license and PrDP
