Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical or petroleum engineering required.
- Minimum 3 years as Drilling Fluids Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, rheology, and solids control.
- Experience in remote field operations and rotational schedules.
- Ability to troubleshoot fluid-related issues on site.
Responsibilities
- Design and recommend drilling fluid systems based on well conditions.
- Supervise mud operations at the rig site, ensuring safety and specs.
- Monitor fluid properties and adjust formulations as needed.
- Manage inventory and logistics for additives and equipment.
- Evaluate solids control efficiency and suggest improvements.
- Troubleshoot issues such as lost circulation and stuck pipe.
