Qualificações

• Qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience in a DC/warehouse.
• Proven leadership and ability to motivate a team.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and safety.
• Experience with WMS systems.

Responsabilidades

About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing logistics provider, is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Supervisor to manage daily operations at their facility in Benoni, Gauteng. This role is crucial for overseeing the efficient movement of goods, managing a team of warehouse staff, and ensuring that all distribution processes meet high standards of accuracy, speed, and safety. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong operational knowledge and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor daily workflows and performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of warehouse team members.
• Optimize space utilization and ensure efficient warehouse layout.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of inbound and outbound logistics.
• Manage the use of warehouse equipment and ensure it is maintained properly.
• Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the distribution center.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a distribution center or warehouse environment.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety procedures.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours if required.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Benoni, Gauteng.
