Placements24 is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Port Elizabeth distribution center. You will manage receiving, storing, picking, packing and shipping while leading a team to achieve accuracy, safety and throughput.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of supervisory experience, strong WMS knowledge and excellent leadership and communication skills to drive performance in a busy logistics environment.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to manage operations at their key distribution center in Port Elizabeth . This role is crucial for overseeing daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. You will lead a team of warehouse staff, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in all operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices, committed to optimizing throughput and maintaining a high-performance team within a busy operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Manage inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts and stock takes.
• Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of goods according to company policies.
• Train, motivate, and manage warehouse staff to achieve high levels of productivity and quality.
• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
• Operate and manage warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure accurate order picking, packing, and timely dispatch of shipments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role, with at least 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.

• Ability to manage a team and foster a positive work environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
