Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Digital Marketing Director to lead PPC and SEO across multifamily, B2B, and technical verticals. You will own channel strategy, budgets, and client results while the specialists execute campaigns.

You will set quality standards for audits and reporting and maintain honest, transparent client communication. You will also shepherd the department's hiring plan and conduct first-round interviews within about a quarter, while remaining client-facing when accounts

Qualifications

Minimum 7+ years across paid media and SEO with ability to own two channels.
Proven track record managing teams and reviewing performance, not just executing campaigns.
Experience handling client-facing leadership and escalation when needed.
Agency experience managing many accounts concurrently.

Responsibilities

Own channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
Define quality standards for audits, reporting, and deliverables; hold two strategists to them.
Ensure client results and honest reporting across the function, including GA4 accuracy.
Diagnose risks, direct the strategists to fix issues, and participate in client calls.
Communicate credible deliverables to sales before deals are closed.
Plan hiring for the department and conduct first-round interviews within a quarter.
