Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Director of Paid Media to lead the PPC and SEO channels across multifamily, B2B, and technical sectors. This is a management seat responsible for channel strategy, budget allocation, and client-facing accountability.

You will mentor the PPC and SEO strategists, enforce high-quality audits and reporting, and drive department performance. This role is remote with international scope.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO.
• Depth in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta and Microsoft Ads.
• Able to discuss a turnaround account with metrics and rationale.
• Comfortable being the client-facing owner when accounts underperform.
• Agency experience carrying many accounts simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Own and mentor the Director of Paid Media function, including the PPC and SEO strategists.
• Define channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale; set performance standards.
• Ensure audits, reporting quality, and client communications meet high standards.
• Lead escalation on at-risk accounts and guide the strategists to immediate improvements.
• Plan hiring for the department and conduct first-round interviews.
