Job summary

Alliance Foods SA (Pty) Ltd. is recruiting an Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM) as part of a development programme aimed at grooming future ARM positions within the business.

Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, the ARM will learn to drive CHAMPS standards, manage shifts, forecast labour, and support staff development to deliver exceptional customer service. The role offers growth opportunities within our operation, exposure to standard restaurant procedures, and a collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Assist the RGM in achieving CHAMPS Standards by focusing staff on cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, maintenance, product, and speed.
• Learn to manage shifts per policy, directing staff to maximise sales, efficiency and profitability.
• Allocate shift responsibilities and monitor performance.
• Ensure maintenance procedures followed; report repairs as needed.
• Forecast and schedule labour per shift; create deployment plan to control costs.
• Support controls to protect safety, security of employees, customers, property, and funds.
• Report to RGM on employee relations, customer service, health inspection issues affecting operations.
• Assist in implementing restaurant training programmes to maximise staff performance and career potential.
• Support and demonstrate How We Win Together through leadership with Heart, Smart and Courage.
