What You Will Do:
- Provide first- and second-level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to all users, including VIPs, with confidence and professionalism.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows (XP, 7, 8.1, 10, 11) and Mac OS platforms.
- Build and deploy PCs, patch network points, and resolve printer and connectivity issues.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and authorized applications (e.g., Microsoft Office 2010+, Cisco Jabber, etc.).
- Perform general preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on computers, laptops, printers, and other authorized equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot network connectivity, workstation hardware/software, and enterprise AV issues, working with third-party vendors when needed.
- Maintain and update site-specific documentation and knowledgebase articles.
- Collaborate effectively with internal support teams, third-party vendors, and Band 3 Engineers to resolve complex tickets.
- Manage incidents, IMACs (Install, Move, Add, Change), and project-related tasks.
- Use remote support tools and ticketing systems to track and resolve issues, ensuring timely updates and SLA compliance.
- Mentor and assist Band 1 technicians in their daily work and professional development.
- Work off-hours and weekends when required for projects or emergency support.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or better certification.
- Minimum of 18 months of IT experience in a similar support role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (current and legacy).
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, Intune, etc.).
- Experience with Windows imaging techniques (network and local).
- Hands‑on experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (including GPOs, user/group management, and PC/laptop management).
- Skilled in desktop and printer configuration, troubleshooting, and remedial repairs.
- Experience with mobile device management (iOS and Android) and enterprise encryption solutions.
- Familiarity with enterprise anti-virus solutions and helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Broad understanding of Networks, Servers, Audio/Visual, Smart Devices, and Telecoms.
- Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task, effectively determine priorities, and meet SLAs.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills—both written and verbal.
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-changing industry and work environment.
