Job summary
iOCO in Johannesburg is seeking an IT Support Technician to maintain staff computers and printers, provide first-line help desk support, and assist with remote and on-site issues.
You will monitor ticket queues, coordinate with management for progress updates, install OS and software, deploy new PCs/printers, and support mobile devices and Mac/iOS platforms, contributing to a responsive IT service across the organization.
Qualifications
- Experience in desktop support and IT help desk tasks.
- Experience with Windows and Mac support and remote assistance.
- Ability to deploy PCs and printers and perform OS/app installations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications and in-house software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of staff computers & printers and general user support.
- Monitor problem ticket work queues and provide progress updates.
- Onsite and remote break-fix tasks for PCs and printers.
- Installations and deployment of new PCs/printers, OS and software.
- Support and escalation of tickets not resolvable remotely with third-party vendors.
- Mobile device connectivity support and device management.
- Scripting and deployment of software releases and updates.
- Installation and maintenance of phone handsets and Apple Mac/iOS support.
