Job summary

iOCO, based in KwaZulu-Natal, seeks an aspiring technician to implement and support software and hardware for customer sites including electronic security, building management, and workforce management systems. The role requires compliance with project and SLA commitments and hands-on field work.

You will coordinate with project and service managers, manage stock and documentation, perform installations and testing, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Gr 12 or equivalent college diploma or relevant experience and courses.
• N.DIP Electronic/Electrical Engineering (LC) preferred.
• PSIRA Certification – C required for site access.
• SAQCC Registration: Fire Detection/Serviceman and Gas Suppression.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment, tools, PPE and documentation are available and in working order on-site.
• Assist Project Manager and Service Manager on tasks and documentation.
• Execute projects on time, allocate stock to calls, and complete hand-over documents.
• Support hardware/software installed on sites and update project records.
• Perform installations and test commissioning of hardware/software.
• Maintain safety, quality and site documentation including time and vehicle logs.
