Cash Crusaders is seeking a Debtors Clerk to manage the debtor’s book across approximately 300 stores in Cape Town. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and cashflow optimization.

You will handle statements, NetSuite ledgers, and ageing reports, while supporting audits and ad hoc accounting tasks. A Matric with Credit Control qualification, plus strong Excel and communication skills, is essential.

Job description

We are looking for a Debtors Clerk; the Debtors Clerk will be responsible for managing the debtor’s book with approximately 300 stores. To be successful in this role you should ensure that the debtor’s book is closely monitored for optimal cashflow efficiencies accompanied by a very high degree of accuracy and tasks to be managed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Sending out regular debtor’s statements.
• Updating of cash book processing in NetSuite for debtor’s collections
• Sending out regular debtors ageing to internal staff and management
• Processing of credit notes to customers after approval by senior management
• Sending out Ad Hoc reports relating to debtors
• Calculation of interest on overdue debtor’s accounts
• Sending out daily, weekly and monthly management turnover reports
• Distributing staff accounts on debtor’s book to relevant people
• Debtors Master maintenance in NetSuite
• Ad-hoc invoicing as required
• Assistance during Year End audits
• Any ad-hoc requests from the Accountant, Group Financial Manager and CEO

Requirements

• Experience with debtor’s collections and maintenance of a clean debtor’s book
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially excel, advance Excel experience is a (requirement) and working knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong math and analytical skills
