Job summary

The Focus Group is seeking a detail-oriented Debtors Administrator to join the finance team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. You will manage tenant accounts, capture receipts, reconcile ledgers, and assist with collections and billing processes.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in financial admin, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with tenants and internal stakeholders. Property management experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree or Advanced Diploma in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 2–3 years' experience in finance, debtors, AR or property finance.
• Experience with debtor reconciliations, collections and account administration.
• Property management industry experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Capture and allocate tenant receipts daily.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant accounts.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies, including misallocations and errors.
• Process journals for general ledger updates.
• Reconcile debtor accounts and submit reconciliations.
• Monitor arrears and assist with collection of outstanding rent.
• Prepare monthly tenant statements and reporting.
