Job summary

Takealot.com is seeking a DC Industrial Engineer System to join our Supply Chain Team in KZN DC. This role focuses on Oracle WMS administration, level 1 support for DC operations and system integration with ERP.

You will interface between DC Operations and the WMS vendor, develop reporting and dashboards, perform routine system audits, and help roll out upgrades and new functionalities under the WMS and Systems Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in DC operations
• Experience with WMS systems such as Logfire (Oracle), Manhattan, Red Prairie, SAP, HighJump or similar
• Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, B.Comm Logistics or similar degree preferred
• High proficiency with MS Office packages

Responsibilities

• Day to Day administration of Oracle WMS – user maintenance, access, profiles and location maintenance
• Interface between DC Operations and WMS Vendor for issue logging and resolution
• Perform routine audits of systems and operational processes
• Understand and participate in stock sync, OS updates, patches and configuration changes
• Liaise with IT to ensure network infrastructure is up and running
• Develop reporting and dashboards from WMS reporting database for OPS management teams
• Test and roll-out of proposed new functionalities and bi-annual upgrades of Oracle
