Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited seeks a Fixed Term Frontshop Assistant to uphold merchandising standards and support customer service at the point of sale in line with Dis-Chem policies.

Responsibilities include ensuring full product ranges on shelves, maintaining stock, processing payments, handling loyalty cards, and assisting with stock checks and store housekeeping while delivering friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or Matric/Senior Certificate
• 0–6 months retail work experience
• Advantageous: 1 year retail experience
• Advantageous: Retail Business Management certification

Responsibilities

• Ensure full ranges of products are on shelves and neatly presented.
• Maintain stock and ensure items are not expired.
• Restock merchandise to maximise sales.
• Handle customer queries and out-of-stock items promptly.
• Process purchases and payments (cash, card, vouchers).
• Ensure pricing accuracy and tidy storeroom.
• Assist with stock checks and stocktaking.
