Job summary

Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a diligent Cashier to join our retail team. You will be the primary contact at till points, handling POS transactions and helping maintain store security standards.

During downtime you will support cellular, credit, and service administration while delivering excellent customer service and promoting add-on sales. The role requires 2–3 years in retail and Grade 12, with basic MS Office skills; SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate required.
• 2–3 years’ retail experience.
• Practical experience in financial administration or cash handling.
• SAP experience is advantageous.
• Sound understanding of financial compliance legislation.

Responsibilities

• Process Point-of-Sale transactions and perform cashups in line with company policies.
• Capture manual invoices electronically within 24 hours and attach to manual books.
• Promote add-on sales on all customer purchases.
• Balance cash ups and floats with supervisor present.
• Maintain secure till points and update till passwords weekly.
• Assist with cellular, credit and service administration.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and handle complaints promptly.
• Coordinate repairs/logistics for customer items as needed.
