Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-volume, accurate auditing of both manual and automated moderation decisions to ensure compliance with Amazon’s community moderation guidelines
  • Identify and document moderation errors, distinguishing between avoidable errors, judgment calls, and harmful misses
  • Maintain consistently high personal audit accuracy and productivity against established targets
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve quality metrics for both manual and automated moderation
  • Support calibration sessions with moderation partner sites, aligning on guideline interpretation and quality standards
  • Conduct root cause analysis on quality trends and contribute findings to partner support WBRs and business reporting
  • Participate in auditing projects including the creation, improvement, and simplification of moderation guidelines
  • Serve as a QA resource for moderation representatives and management
  • Support automation deep-dive analyses by providing accurate audit data and insights to engineering teams
  • Collaborate with training specialists to ensure moderation quality improvements are embedded in training materials

CS Communities Auditor (EN), Community Shopping Moderation

Amazon's Community Shopping program powers iconic customer experiences including Customer Reviews, Review Videos, Questions & Answers, and Visual Shopping content. All community content is moderated against Amazon’s global guidelines to protect the integrity of our marketplace. The auditing team is the ground truth for quality — we audit both manual and automated moderation decisions across 20+ languages and 25+ marketplaces, completing over 2.3 million audits annually.

This role requires an individual with exceptional written and spoken ability. Native level English fluency is a mandatory requirement for the role. Fluency in other languages is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage for applicants.

Key job responsibilities
Quality Auditing
  • Perform high-volume, accurate auditing of both manual and automated moderation decisions to ensure compliance with Amazon’s community moderation guidelines

A day in the life

Your day will center on auditing moderation decisions across multiple community skills and marketplaces. You will review queued audit samples, assess whether moderation decisions comply with guidelines, document errors with clear rationale, and contribute to quality reporting. You may participate in calibration sessions, support guideline development work, or assist with ad hoc auditing projects such as model retraining audits or regex reviews. You will work closely with your Team Manager and fellow auditors to maintain the team’s high-performance standards.

About the team

The Community Moderation Auditing team is the quality backbone of Amazon’s community shopping experiences. We are a high-performing, mature team that consistently exceeds network quality targets. In 2025, we achieved 99.43% Approval Accuracy (vs. 98.5% target) and 99.15% Rejection Accuracy (vs. 98% target), completing over 2.3 million audits across 20+ languages and 25+ marketplaces. Our work directly informs automation improvements and guideline development, and we are now part of a broader quality organization creating new opportunities for cross-functional impact and career growth.

Basic Qualifications
