Placements24 is seeking an experienced Event and Banquet Manager for a premier Vereeniging venue in Gauteng. You will plan, coordinate, and deliver a wide range of events, balancing venue-based duties with remote administration.

The role focuses on client liaison, budgeting, and flawless execution to create memorable guest experiences. You will lead with creativity, strong planning, and teamwork with culinary, service, and sales colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in event management or related hospitality role.
• Proven ability to manage multiple events from conception to completion.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with event management software and Microsoft Office.
• Hybrid work experience and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of event planning and execution from client consultation to post-event follow-up.
• Develop proposals, timelines, and budgets ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate with clients on needs, preferences, menu, décor, and entertainment.
• Collaborate with catering to tailor culinary experiences.
• Oversee setup and breakdown of spaces per venue standards.
• Manage on-site execution including staffing and service flow.
• Build relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct venue tours and host client meetings to showcase capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Stay updated on event management trends and best practices.
