The Corridor Manager at C. Steinweg – Handelsveem B.V. Johannesburg leads end-to-end transport capacity strategy across the corridor, securing long-term capacity through fleet agreements and carrier partnerships.

You will build a sustainable network, minimise empty kilometres and optimise backloads to improve truck utilisation and service levels. You will develop cargo density by consolidating multiple customers and commodities, monitor market intelligence, and drive data-driven decisions using

Formación

• Matric and a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years in logistics, freight forwarding, or transport operations.
• 5+ years in senior leadership or management.
• Experience in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and carrier management.
• P&L ownership and commercial/financial management experience.
• Deep understanding of fleet economics in Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Experience with TMS, BI dashboards, and data analytics tools.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end transport capacity strategy for the corridor.
• Secure long-term capacity through fleet agreements and partnerships.
• Build and maintain a sustainable network of transport providers.
• Eliminate capacity shortages and maintain contingency capacity.
• Increase cargo density and consolidate loads across customers.
• Negotiate transport cost models and analyse fleet economics.
• Monitor market intelligence on the corridor and position Steinweg ahead of demand.
• Develop strategic relationships with corridor stakeholders.
