Job summary

Pick n Pay KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a dedicated Production Worker to ensure meals are prepared precisely according to recipes and quantities, while upholding strict hygiene, housekeeping, and safety standards.

The role requires strong communication, numeracy, and procedural skills, with accountability for stock rotation, waste prevention, and accurate administrative tasks. A Grade 12 qualification and basic computer literacy are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Computer literacy advantageous.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security procedures are adhered to.
• Conduct regular quality checks and rotate stock; remove damaged/expired stock.
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage and damages.
• Complete all relevant administration/documentation.
• Monitor expenses, turnover, and take corrective action.
• Plan daily/weekly production of products.
• Communicate effectively with employees and management.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and ensure safe operation.
