Job summary

Pick n Pay in the Western Cape is seeking a diligent Store Associate to prepare or wrap products according to specifications, maintain hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards, and assist customers with their requests.

The role focuses on stocking and merchandising, pricing items, checking labels, rotating stock, preventing wastage, maintaining cold storage where applicable, and upholding security procedures while delivering friendly, professional service to customers.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Basic numeracy and computer literacy advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Stack and store products in a safe and tidy manner.
• Merchandise products according to standards.
• Correctly price random weight/loose selling items.
• Check pricing labels for accuracy.
• Check quality, rotate stock, and remove expired items.
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage and damages.
• Maintain temperatures where applicable and follow security procedures.
• Assist customers with requests in a courteous, business-like manner.
• Process customer orders according to procedures and service standards.
• Promote products to customers.
