Job summary

Pick n Pay in South Africa is seeking a detail-oriented team member to prepare or wrap products, maintain hygiene, and support smooth store operations.

You will inspect products, price items, assist customers, and ensure cold-chain where applicable. Grade 12 and basic numeracy are required, with computer literacy as an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Price random weight/loose items accurately.
• Check labels and pricing for correctness.
• Rotate stock and remove expired items.
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage and damages.
• Monitor temperatures and maintain cold chain where applicable.
• Follow security procedures and operate/clean equipment as required.
• Assist customers and respond to requests professionally.
• Process customer orders according to standard procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

• Check correct pricing e.g. labels
• Check quality, rotate stock, remove expired stock

• Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards
• Approach and advise customers on the product, listen to customers' requests, provide the required product or services and handle customers in a courteous and business-like manner
