Placements24 is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee construction contracts in the Mahikeng area and across the North West province. You will manage all contract phases—from tender preparation and negotiation to execution and close-out—protecting company interests and mitigating risk.

The ideal candidate will have a law/commerce background with SA construction contract law expertise (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC), and a track record in negotiations, administration and dispute resolution

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction contract management or related legal/commercial roles.
• Strong knowledge of South African construction contract law (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC).
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, administration and dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of construction contracts from tender through close-out.
• Review tender documents, prepare contractual conditions and lead negotiations.
• Administer contracts during project duration including variations, claims and disputes.
• Provide expert advice on contractual matters to project teams and senior management.
• Ensure timely submission of contractual documentation and payments.
• Monitor performance against contractual requirements and identify breaches or risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant degree in Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
