Placements24 is seeking an experienced Offshore Installation Manager for a major project based in Upington, Northern Cape, ZA with extensive offshore deployment requirements. You will oversee all offshore construction activities, plan installations, manage vessels and crews, and ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements.

The role demands a degree in engineering and 15+ years in offshore environments, including 7+ years in senior leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years of offshore oil and gas or renewable energy construction experience.
At least 7 years in a senior management role.
Proven track record in large-scale offshore installation projects.
Offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, IMIST) with willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all offshore installation activities for the project.
Develop and implement detailed offshore installation plans and procedures.
Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Oversee management of offshore construction vessels, equipment, and personnel.
Enforce comprehensive HSE policies and offshore procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for offshore operations.
Liaise with engineering, marine assurance, clients, and regulatory authorities.
Manage contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Oversee offshore logistics, including personnel and material transfer.
Report progress, challenges, and KPIs to senior management.
