Placements24 is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor for on-site leadership of civil infrastructure projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee day-to-day activities, ensuring work aligns with plans, safety standards, and quality controls.

The role requires supervising skilled tradespeople, coordinating with foremen and subcontractors, and maintaining meticulous site records. A proactive, hands-on approach and driver''s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Construction Supervisor or Foreman in civil infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of South African building and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver''s license.
• Trade qualification in a relevant field is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities, including earthworks, concrete, and formwork.
• Ensure work is performed according to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor site safety regulations and ensure compliance by all personnel, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient resource allocation and material delivery.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues or defects promptly.
• Maintain daily site records, including work progress, labor hours, and equipment usage.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and engineers regarding site status and challenges.
• Assist in the planning and scheduling of construction activities.
• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment on site.
• Promote a positive and productive work culture among the site team.
