Placements24 is seeking a skilled Project Manager in Pretoria to lead construction and development projects from inception to completion. You will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, and on-site coordination while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a hybrid on-site/office environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building materials, and project management methodologies.
• Experience with project management software (MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in construction management or project management are desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and office duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, execution, and close-out.
• Develop detailed project schedules, manage budgets, and track expenditures.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.
• Manage client expectations and provide regular progress updates.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Ensure quality control throughout the construction process.
• Process change orders and resolve disputes effectively.
• Prepare project reports and documentation.
