Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction and facilities management projects in Polokwane, Limpopo. This role balances site engagement with remote planning and administration in a hybrid setup.

You will lead planning, budgeting and execution, coordinate with architects and contractors, and ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations. A strong track record in on-time delivery and budget control is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field or architecture/engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of project management experience in construction and facilities.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of construction methods, codes and safety standards.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience with MS Project and Primavera or similar tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design and execution of construction and facilities projects.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, budgets and timelines.
• Manage site operations ensuring safety regulations and codes compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and internal teams.
• Lead procurement, tendering and contract negotiations.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigations.
• Ensure quality control throughout construction.
• Report status to stakeholders and senior management.
• Manage facilities maintenance and operational projects as needed.
• Conduct post-project reviews and document outcomes.
