Placements24 seeks a skilled Project Manager to oversee construction and facilities projects in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and regulators to deliver on-time, within budget, and to high safety standards.

The role requires 6+ years in construction project management, strong knowledge of building systems, and proficiency with MS Project and architectural/engineering software. A hybrid work model is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in managing construction projects and facilities maintenance.
• Solid understanding of building systems, construction methods and lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in project management software (MS Project) and relevant architectural/engineering software.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and close construction and facilities management projects.
• Develop detailed project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
• Manage contractor selection, negotiation, and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project execution.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, financial summaries, and risk assessments.
