Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a client in Midrand to recruit an experienced Construction Project Manager. This role oversees the planning, execution and handover of diverse construction projects, balancing on-site supervision with remote coordination in a hybrid setup.

You will manage timelines, budgets and resources, lead safety and quality programs, and liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience in budget management, cost control, and resource optimization.
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans with scope, budgets, and timelines for construction projects in Midrand.
• Oversee on-site construction activities ensuring compliance with specs and codes.
• Procure materials and manage subcontractors, negotiating terms.
• Lead regular site inspections and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Prepare financial summaries, progress reports, and risk assessments for management and clients.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
