About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead diverse civil infrastructure projects in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. This role requires exceptional leadership, planning, and execution skills to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, control, and closure. This is a prime opportunity to manage key developments that contribute to the economic and social growth of the Mossel Bay region and its surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all phases of civil infrastructure projects, including road construction, water reticulation, and public facility development.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial viability and profitability.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering effective collaboration.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to provide project updates and address concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing civil infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of successful delivery.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract management, and procurement processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and resolve complex issues effectively.
