Placements24 is seeking an experienced and empathetic Social Worker to lead community-focused programs in Tembisa. The role connects individuals and families with social services, provides counseling, and develops initiatives that foster resilience within Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW).
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Proven experience as a Social Worker with understanding of community dynamics and welfare systems.
• Excellent counseling, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in program development and community engagement.
• Ability to manage a caseload in a demanding environment in Tembisa.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop intervention plans.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling services.
• Connect clients with community resources, groups, and government programs.
• Develop, implement, and manage community outreach programs and initiatives.
• Maintain confidential client records per ethical and legal standards.
