Qualifications

• Experience in recreation program planning, coordination, or management.
• Strong understanding of various sports and recreational activities.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in volunteer management and event coordination.
• Relevant qualification in Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute a diverse schedule of community sports programs and events suitable for various age groups and skill levels.
• Liaise with local sports clubs, schools, and community organizations to foster partnerships and coordinate facility usage.
• Manage program registration, marketing, and communication to ensure high participation rates.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of program facilitators and volunteers.
• Ensure all sports activities comply with safety standards and risk management policies.
• Assist in the development and management of the recreation department budget, seeking grant opportunities where applicable.
