Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to serve the Tembisa community in Gauteng. You will provide essential counseling, assessments, and resource navigation to individuals and families facing social challenges, while advocating for clients’ rights and needs within local systems.

Based in Tembisa, you will collaborate with health, education, and legal professionals, maintain thorough case records, and participate in team meetings to enhance client outcomes and community resilience.

Qualificações

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is required and registration with SACSSP is mandatory.
• Minimum 2–4 years of practical social work experience.
• Knowledge of social welfare policies and child protection legislation is essential.
• Strong counseling, assessment and intervention abilities are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to work with diverse populations.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive social assessments of individuals, families, and groups.
• Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions to address emotional and social issues.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with clients.
• Connect clients with community resources, services, and support networks.
• Advocate for clients within relevant systems and rights protections.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and psycho-educational workshops.
• Maintain case notes and client records in line with professional standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, educators, and legal advisors.
• Respond to crises and provide immediate support.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss progress.
