Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Social Auxiliary Worker to join the Community Outreach team in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will assist clients under a Social Worker, helping them access social grants, referrals, basic counseling, and community initiatives.

You will collaborate with local leaders and service providers in the Tembisa area, focusing on empowering residents and improving access to resources. The role requires a strong community connection and dedication to social service delivery.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
• Registration as a Social Auxiliary Worker with SACSSP.
• Experience in community-based settings or with vulnerable populations.

Responsabilités

• Assist Social Workers in conducting assessments of client needs.
• Provide direct support to clients navigating social welfare systems.
• Facilitate access to social grants, housing assistance, and government/NGO services.
• Offer basic counseling and emotional support to individuals and families.
• Organize community group activities and workshops for social development.
