Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Creative and organized Recreation Program Coordinator to lead and manage a diverse range of leisure activities for Centurion and surrounding communities. The role focuses on developing engaging programs, overseeing budgets, supervising staff, and delivering high-quality experiences for participants of all ages.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program coordination or event planning experience.
• Budget management experience.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Leadership and interpersonal communication.
• Marketing and promotions experience.
• First Aid & CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement a variety of recreational programs and activities (e.g., sports leagues, fitness classes, arts & crafts, community events).
• Coordinate all aspects of program delivery, including scheduling, facility bookings, and resource allocation.
• Manage program budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability.
• Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, volunteers, and instructors.
• Promote programs and activities through various marketing channels, including social media, flyers, and community outreach.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of participants by implementing and enforcing program guidelines and safety protocols.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, local organizations, and stakeholders.
• Manage participant registration and maintain accurate records.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to recreational programs.
