You will install, service, and repair complex refrigeration systems for a diverse range of clients, working primarily through our digital platform and remote support network.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician with installation/repair.
• Deep knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls and components.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and blueprints.
• Certifications such as F-Gas or EPA 608 are desirable.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our fully remote technical team, supporting operations from Polokwane, Limpopo. Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and ice machines.
• Diagnose refrigeration system malfunctions using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration units to ensure efficient operation and prevent costly breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant circuit issues.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental protocols for refrigerant handling.
• Respond to service requests and provide timely solutions to ensure minimal business interruption for clients.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed, including detailed reports on repairs, parts used, and diagnostic findings.
• Communicate effectively with clients and the internal support team to provide updates and technical insights.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician with a strong track record in installation and repair.
• In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and common refrigeration components.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools relevant to the trade.
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring and troubleshooting techniques for refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Must possess strong self-management skills and the ability to work independently in a remote capacity.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., F-Gas, EPA Section 608 equivalent) are highly desirable.
