Placements24 is seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician for Randburg, Gauteng. You will install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems for supermarkets, restaurants, and food facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician with at least 3 years in the field.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial refrigeration principles, systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and diagrams; focus on safety.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and ice machines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system malfunctions, identifying root causes of problems such as temperature fluctuations, leaks, or operational inefficiencies.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts to ensure optimal system performance.
• Service and repair compressors, condensers, evaporators, and expansion valves.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to accurately perform installations and repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and time taken for each job.
• Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with clients regarding service needs and recommendations.
• Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner to minimize client downtime.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly concerning safety and quality standards in Randburg, Gauteng.
