You will manage challenging conversations, drive payment arrangements, and maintain CRM records while working toward targets. Debt review experience is advantageous, but a proven collections background is what matters most.

• Contact customers regarding outstanding accounts and drive payment arrangements and collections.
• Negotiate payment solutions while handling objections and difficult conversations professionally.
• Work toward individual and team collection targets and performance measures.
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and maintain accurate records of all interactions and arrangements.
• Identify solutions based on customers' financial circumstances while protecting company collection objectives.
• Ensure all collection activity and customer information are captured in the CRM and systems.

Our client is an established debt review and financial services business based in Kempton Park , and they are expanding their internal collections team.

They are looking for a high-performing Collections Consultant who knows how to manage challenging conversations, overcome objections and consistently work towards collection targets.

Experience within debt review is advantageous, but not essential . What matters most is a proven background in collections or debt recovery and a track record of working in a target-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Contact customers regarding outstanding accounts and actively drive payment arrangements and collections. Negotiate payment solutions while handling objections and difficult conversations professionally. Work consistently towards individual and team collection targets and performance measures. Follow up on outstanding accounts and maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and arrangements. Identify appropriate solutions based on customers' financial circumstances while protecting the company's collection objectives. Ensure all collection activity, customer information and payment arrangements are accurately captured on the relevant CRM and systems.

Minimum Requirements

Proven experience in collections or debt recovery is essential. Strong negotiation, objection-handling and influencing skills. Excellent verbal communication skills with confident telephone presence. Demonstrated ability to work towards and achieve collection targets. Resilient personality with the ability to handle rejection, difficult conversations and high-pressure environments. Strong numerical ability together with good CRM, computer and administrative skills.
