Job summary

ZealHR in Cape Town is seeking a Sales Executive to join its dynamic sales team. This hunter role focuses on creating new business across wholesale channels, away from inbound leads.

You will prospect, cold call, visit potential customers and present our premium coffee brands, building a robust pipeline and long-term relationships with partners. Travel may be required as the group expands its footprint, with support from the Head of Sales.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in sales or business development.
• Proven ability to prospect and generate new business.
• Coffee industry experience is advantageous.
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and CRM systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
• Professional appearance and time-management skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages would be advantageous.
• Willing and able to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new wholesale business opportunities.
• Conduct regular cold calling, prospecting, customer visits and business development activities.
• Introduce prospective customers to the company's portfolio of premium coffee brands.
• Deliver product samples and arrange coffee/product demonstrations.
• Generate, qualify and convert new sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong and active sales pipeline.
• Record customer interactions, leads and opportunities accurately on the CRM system.
• Work closely with the Head of Sales to convert qualified prospects into long-term customers.
• Represent the company and its brands professionally in the market.
• Attend trade shows, exhibitions, networking events and industry functions.
• Travel nationally and potentially internationally as required.
