Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• ECSA registration as Pr. Eng or Technologist is highly desirable.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive civil design experience, focusing on water resources or coastal engineering.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS, SWMM) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Strong report writing and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for coastal protection structures and stormwater systems.
• Perform hydraulic and hydrological analyses for water-related projects.
• Use CAD software for drafting and modeling of designs.
• Prepare specifications, tender documents, and construction drawings.
• Conduct site visits and support construction phase activities.
• Collaborate with environmental scientists, architects, and other engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with South African standards and local regulations.
• Assist in proposals and fee estimates.
