Job summary

Virgin Active South Africa is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our Centurion club. You will lead preventative maintenance, supervise the maintenance team, and ensure all repairs to equipment, premises and pools meet brand standards while staying within budget.

You will liaise with CGM/Ops and contractors, document tasks in the intranet system, and drive health and safety compliance across the club. You will regularly inspect facilities, plan maintenance activities, and manage suppliers to

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining facilities or gym equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices (OSH Act) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventative maintenance schedules for equipment, HVAC and facilities.
• Lead maintenance teams to complete planned work on time and within quality standards.
• Manage maintenance budgets and supplier contracts to stay within approved costs.
• Inspect club daily for maintenance needs and log tasks in the maintenance system.
• Coordinate with CM and Ops on impact to operations and downtime policies.
• Ensure pool maintenance and safety checks meet brand standards.
